| 101:1 | The Shocker. | الْقَارِعَةُ |
| 101:2 | What a shocker! | مَا الْقَارِعَةُ |
| 101:3 | Do you have any idea what the Shocker is? | وَمَا أَدْرَكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ |
| 101:4 | That is the day when the people come out like swarms of butterflies. | يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ |
| 101:5 | The mountains will be like fluffy wool. | وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنفُوشِ |
| 101:6 | As for him whose weights are heavy. | فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَزِينُهُ |
| 101:7 | He will lead a happy (eternal) life. | فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ |
| 101:8 | As for him whose weights are light. | وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَزِينُهُ |
| 101:9 | His destiny is lowly. | فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ |
| 101:10 | Do you know what it is? | وَمَا أَدْرَكَ مَاهِيَهْ |
| 101:11 | The blazing Hellfire. | نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ |
